Accelerating Construction and Real Estate Innovation in the Canadian Prairies

We are passionate individuals with diverse backgrounds in the construction and real estate ecosystem. We come from startups, industry, academia, and government. We’ve experienced how siloed the ecosystem has become and are determined to fix it through collaboration and partnerships.

The biggest hurdle to efficient tech adoption in the industry is a lack of communication at some point along the innovation supply chain: a startup founder doesn’t realize that a grad student at the university has already solved the algorithm they’re struggling to develop; a construction company can’t adopt state-of-the-art fabrication techniques because the engineering specs won’t allow for it; policy makers have not been told that current regulations are stifling innovation; and lastly, project owners and end-users are unaware how much this lack of communication is costing them.

We believe that the Canadian prairies has every element necessary to become a global leader in construction and real estate innovation. The missing piece is intentional and effective collaboration across all stakeholder groups, and that’s what we hope to achieve.

We view these challenges as a chance to collaborate and find better solutions faster and create more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable communities in Canada and beyond.
